  6.     New features in this version include the following switches:
  7.  
  8.     -D   = or -Ddrive:\path\filenmame.ext.  Will produce a delimited data
  9.            file of Part I of Bklarpt.txt.  Using the -D switch without an
  10.            option will produce a data file with a default filename of
  11.            Bklarpt.Dat.  See BinkLA.Doc for further details.

  13.     -EX. = Suppress filenames with (-EX.Ext.Ext.Ext) in Part II Report.

  15.     -NZ  = Will suppress Zone and only display Net/Node.
  16.  
  17.     LOG= = Log path/log filename. Optional if Binkley.log in default
  18.            directory.
  19.  
  20.     @    = @filename[.rsp].  A text file containing BinkLA switches which
  21.            will be echoed to BinkLA if used. Please see Binkla.doc for
  22.            further details.

  24.     The command line parser is modified to accept the above switches.
  25.     Switches can now appear in any order on the command line.

  27.     The Average CPS rate algorithm has been changed in Bklarpt to more
  28.     accurately reflect the overall average transfer rates.  Thanks go out
  29.     to Bob Davis of FidoNet 1:106/114 for sending me Logs and raising an
  30.     observation on the CPS transfer rate.

  32.     The program has been changed to first look for QSort on the path insead
  33.     of the regular DOS Sort utility.  This will mean that you no longer
  34.     have to rename QSort to Sort for BinkLA to be able to use it. If QSort
  35.     is not found on the path then BinkLA will revert to the DOS Sort
  36.     utility and use it for it's external sort routines.

  38.     The global error exit routine has been re-written to attempt to better
  39.     describe the error in the event that BinkLA crashes.  However, if an
  40.     error occurs while QSort or Sort are executing external to BinkLA the
  41.     global error routine may not reflect the true occurrence of the error.

  43.     For example if an "Input past end of file" error is indicated this
  44.     could mean that your disk is full or there is not enough available
  45.     memory in your system for BinkLA to write it's temporary sort file
  46.     while out doing a sort. These are the only two obscure errors that I
  47.     have observed but there may be others.

  49.     I STRONGLY recommend that you use QSort rather than the DOS Sort
  50.     because it is MUCH faster and uses MUCH less memory than Sort.

  52.     Fixed BUGS

  54.     If BinkLA now runs out of disk space while processing it's work files,
  55.     it will now graciously(?) exit to DOS.
  56.  
  57.     With an observation from the NEC of 134 - Joe Lindstrom, I bagged
  58.     another BUG when "Synchronizing to Offset" occurred.  This was a logic
  59.     error on my part in the program.  I corrected it and hope that no
  60.     undesirable results spin off at a result of the change I made.

  62.     Corrected some logic that reported erronious data when Binkley is in
  63.     terminal mode.
  64.  
  65.     Fixed a small counter bug on incoming calls.

  67.     Shortened Column Length
  68.  
  69.     I shortened the width of the output report from 77 columns to 76
  70.     columns to cure a wrapping problem with QuickBBS when the output is
  71.     placed in a message.

  73.     Distribution of BETA copies of BinkLA

  75.     I have absolutely no problem with Beta copies of BinkLA being passed
  76.     around.  If you do have any observations that you wish to send me
  77.     though, I would appreciate it if you include what Version you are
  78.     using.
